Staff: (2023 season staff has been filled) We hire 8-10 high school/college-aged staff for the months of June and July to help make our camps run smoothly. If you are interested in employment for the upcoming summer season, we’d love to have you apply. Pay is a daily rate of $60/day plus room and board and use of camp facilities/activities. $75/day plus room and board for those willing to be certified to serve as lifeguards. (We pay for the certification.)

Job Description: Though camp schedule fluctuates somewhat, the following is the basic schedule. At 7am, staff reports to the dining hall to help prepare for breakfast and eat. Staff serves breakfast, breaks off to clean different camping areas (bathrooms, pools, pavilion, etc.), then attends a mandatory meeting/Bible study session. Staff then returns to the dining hall to help prepare for lunch and to eat. Staff serves lunch, then breaks off to man different activity stations such as the pool, mini-golf, archery, canteen, mowing, etc. Staff is free after their activities are run until they return to the dining hall to help prepare for dinner and eat. Staff serves dinner and then is off for the night around 6pm. After that, the staff is allowed to do as they please around campus (go swimming, hiking, chill in their cabin, go to the staff room to play games, raid the staff snack fridge, etc.) unless there is a night swim or night canteen, then the staff that mans those stations will be on duty for a little longer. Staff under 18 are not allowed to go off the property unless they are returning home, have parental permission, or are with a director. For those under 18, the directors take them into town Tuesday and Thursday, and if they don’t go home on weekends, the directors will take them places during the weekend if desired. Staff area asked to work weekend camps if possible, especially the lifeguards. If staff has family vacation, retreats, etc. that they’d like to attend, we’ll work around the absences, but realize that there are only 8 weeks of camp, if you’re gone the majority of the time, then camp staff is likely not a position you should apply for. We have fun and grow to be like family!

Job Qualifications: Staff should possess a good worth ethic, good attitude, and integrity. They should get along with others, be willing to learn how to do things properly, and like the outdoors no matter the weather. They should not be a habitual complainer, adverse to doing menial chores, getting dirty, or glued/addicted to their phones/electronics.

Bonus skills that are not required but would be an asset to camp and therefore should be noted in your application: Strong swimming ability/lifeguard experience, familiarity with the sport of archery and shooting range protocol, excellent housekeeping skills, mowing experience, service job experience, the ability to tally purchases and count back change without a calculator.
